Drug logistics in the palm of the hand: Logmed application

Abstract

Objective: Describe the creation of an application on the Android® operating system that provides information for optimizing the management process of public procurement of medicines. Methods: An exploratory experimental study was carried out, divided into the following steps: review of legislation and literature, development of the prototype through a website and usability assessment through a specific questionnaire developed by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (GQS/UFSC) - questionnaire MATCH. Result: Definition of documents and information to be used in the application, according to the bibliographic research, demonstration of the resources available in the application, and application of the MATcH questionnaire, to validate the prototype's usability. Conclusion: it was found with this study that Logmed is a useful tool for monitoring the process of managing the acquisition of medicines, aiming to avoid shortages and the consequent damages in care.

Suellen de Abreu Soares, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

Graduated in pharmacy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Post-Graduation Lato Sensu in Pharmacology from the Brazilian Association of Pharmacists. She is currently the 1st ten hospital pharmaceutical at the Hospital Central da Aeronáutica, head of the hospital pharmacotechnics, clinical pharmacist and academic internship preceptor. She has experience in pharmaceutical assistance, working in the pharmaceutical supply center-CAF, drug dispensing and pharmaceutical care (HCA). Handling of chemotherapy and outpatient pharmacy (HEMORIO).

Patrícia Gonçalves Trentin, Hospital Universitário Gaffrée e Guinle

Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry - Clinical Analysis Qualification by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2004), Master's in Pharmacology by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2006) and Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology by the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (FIOCRUZ). Postdoctoral Fellow at the Inflammation Laboratory, FIOCRUZ (2011 - 2014). In the area of ​​Cellular and Molecular Biology with emphasis on Pharmacology and Immunology, acting on the following subjects: Lung inflammation, silicosis, allergy, emphysema, experience in annexin-1, endothelin, pain and itching. Currently, she is part of the pharmacist staff of the Hospital Central da Aeronáutica, acting as a hospital pharmacist.

Matheus da Silva Tavares Henriques, Hospital Central da Aeronáutica

Pharmacist by the Faculty of Medicine of Campos (2009), Master and Doctor in pharmacology and medicinal chemistry by the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2018). Member of the Brazilian Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (SBFTE). In experimental research, he works on the following topics: pharmacology, toxinology, myotoxicity, cardiotoxicity, inflammation and natural (phytocompounds) and synthetic enzyme inhibitors. Experience in clinical pharmacy, hospital and clinical research (unblinded pharmacist).

Paulo Sergio Marcellini, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

Graduated in Biochemical Pharmacy from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1997), Master in Food and Nutrition from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000) and Ph.D. in Food and Nutrition from State University of Campinas (2005). He is currently Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, at the Biochemistry Department of the Biomedical Institute, is a permanent member of the Programs: Doctorate in Nursing and Biosciences at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Professional Master's Degree in HIV Infection/ AIDS and Viral Hepatitis (PPGHIV/HV/UNIRIO) and the Professional Master's Degree in Health and Technology in the Hospital Space (PPGSTEH/UNIRIO). He teaches, at the postgraduate level, the subjects of Ethics in Research and Professional Practice, Research Methodology, Integrated Metabolism and Biostatistics. He was Dean of Extension and Culture, Temporary Dean of People Management and coordinator of the Research Ethics Committee at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. He was coordinator of the nucleus and of the Nutrition course at the Federal University of Sergipe and coordinator of the DSF / UFS Bromatology Laboratory. He participated in the formulation of Pedagogical Political Projects for the creation of the Health Campus of Lagarto / UFS. He has published 37 national and international articles, one book and two book chapters. He was the advisor of five doctoral theses and seven master's theses. He was a course evaluator and institutional SINAES / INEP / MEC.
