Nurses' performance in family planning in primary care

The objective of this study is to analyze the importance of nursing in the context of family planning in AB according to the literature. The methodology used was built through an integrative review research. The studies included in the review are systematically examined using the PICo search strategy in relation to their objectives, materials and methods, allowing the reader to analyze pre-existing knowledge on the investigated topic. The descriptors were used: "Primary Health Care"; "Family Planning" and "Nursing Care". The research resulted in 10 articles that were analyzed in full, which were divided between the years 2017 to 2022 and in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online – MEDLINE, with 4 published studies and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences – LILACS with the same number of publications. The other articles that make up the sample were published in the specialized bibliographic database In the area of Nursing - BDENF. It was concluded that Through this bibliographic review it was possible to perceive that although sex education and family planning are extremely important for men and women to have more information and empowerment about their body and sexuality, they still have gaps in development in Primary Health Care.
