The importance of clinical reasoning for professional improvement of the physiotherapist in the health area

The objective of this study is to analyze some manifestations contained in scientific publications regarding the importance of clinical reasoning in occupational physiotherapy practices. The method used was the bibliographic, descriptive and qualitative. The approaches will be duly linked to the consequences of the unified treatment of the pain site, without considering its real cause, thus, the determining factor indicating the success or failure of the treatment itself. Opinions will be clearly described in order to alert professionals in the field of physiotherapy, in the use of possibly erroneous methods and techniques due to the lack of knowledge, even basic, through the various pathologies that are extremely important for the physiotherapist to be aware of these, to the effectiveness of the treatment. It is concluded that decisions need to be studied for well-designed actions, using clinical reasoning and assertively applying techniques based on knowledge of the human body. This factor should be explained to other physical therapist professionals, so that they have in mind the duty to go beyond the treatment of only the consequence of pain, but seek knowledge based on clinical reasoning, with the objective of identifying the real cause of the patient's involvement, exploring the roots of the problem and bringing lasting benefits.
