Perfil clínico y epidemiológico de los pacientes ingresados en una UCI Materna COVID-19

Resumen

Objetivo: delinear el perfil clínico y epidemiológico de las mujeres embarazadas y puérperas internadas en una unidad de cuidados intensivos COVID-19 en una maternidad de alta complejidad en la ciudad de Teresina-PI. Metodos: se trata de un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, retrospectivo de revisión de historias clínicas realizado en una maternidad ubicada en la ciudad de Teresina-Pioram, que abarcó historias clínicas de gestantes con diagnóstico clínico o serológico de COVID-19. Se excluyeron historias clínicas con muchos datos incompletos (más de 20), pacientes sin diagnóstico de COVID-19 y cuyos síntomas aparecieron después del parto. Resultados: La muestra total de este estudio estuvo constituida por 43 historias clínicas de pacientes que cumplieron con los criterios establecidos, siendo la mayoría mujeres con edades entre 18 y 30 años (60,4%; N=26), con peso mayor a 65 kg (60,4 %; N=26), multíparas (55,8%; N=24), que asistieron a consultas de prenatal (88,3%; N=38) y tuvieron al menos una intercurrencia en el embarazo (67,4%; N=29). Las manifestaciones clínicas más reportadas fueron disnea (95,3%; N=42) y tos (81,3%; N=35). Además, la investigación revela una alta tasa de parto prematuro (80%; N=20) y cesáreas (100%; N=25). El 69,7% (N=30) de la muestra requirió soporte ventilatorio. Es necesario realizar más estudios para comprender el verdadero perfil de este público y comprender las demás consecuencias que trae la enfermedad a las gestantes.
