Intestinal parasites are still prevalent in the Brazilian population, especially in socioeconomically vulnerable groups, due to inadequate solid waste management and deficient basic sanitation. Another neglected and relevant parasite in this context, including in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, is Chagas disease, caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi, transmitted by infected triatomine bugs, popularly known as "kissing bugs." This study aimed to report an educational experience on parasites in the municipality of Maxaranguape, Rio Grande do Norte. The aim is to contribute to prevention through the creation of educational games aimed at students as a teaching-learning strategy for hygiene concepts. The activities were conducted with eighth- and ninth-grade classes at a municipal school, using expository, dialogue-based, and practical approaches to intestinal parasites and vectors of Chagas disease. The development of educational models helped to understand the importance of health education as a learning tool. It was observed that the use of games sparked greater interest among students and facilitated meaningful learning, in addition to fostering a participatory environment conducive to the exchange of experiences. It was found that the school environment is conducive to the application of these methodologies, as it encourages students' comprehensive development. Health education in schools strengthens responsibility for well-being and the development of healthy habits. It was concluded that the outreach activity was essential for raising awareness within the school community and reducing the risk of exposure to parasites and vectors, highlighting playful games as effective tools for promoting knowledge.
