School management in municipal schools in Manaus

The history of education in Manaus, and consequently of SEMED, is closely linked to the city's political and economic context. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze school management in Manaus' municipal schools. The specific objectives are to provide a brief overview of the Manaus municipal education system; to highlight the Amazonas Educational Performance Assessment System (SADEAM); and to demonstrate school management in Manaus' municipal schools. The methodology is a qualitative bibliographic study. The results achieved in educational assessments reflect the collective effort involved in the educational process in Manaus, including school administrators, teachers, students, families, and all those who contribute to quality education in the city. These results are the result of the dedication and ongoing commitment of education professionals and school communities, who strive to meet the assessment requirements and promote significant improvements in student performance. Education professionals in Manaus, Amazonas, demonstrate a specific manifestation of the commitment of certain public and school administrators, who dedicate considerable effort to achieving better IDEB scores. Thus, it is possible to observe a focus on these educators' preservation and improvement of the results obtained, demonstrating the constant pursuit of improved educational indicators.
